// The Health Initiative
Health has become a buzzword, often reduced to our bodies, routines, and diet. We have a more holistic view, one that includes relationships, communities, and our sense of connection. Turns out, health is a concept that deserves more thought. Here’s how we’ve begun to explore it.
// Nine pathways. One equation. A growing impact.
Health Value
Health Value (HV) is the value created when a health action—represented by its Health Category—is raised to the power of the scale of people impacted, represented by its Impact Order. Health Value isn’t numerical; its true value is measured through a proxy that accounts for engagement and behavior.
HV = CI
A simple example.
Health Category
Our nine Health Categories represent different ways healthy action can take place, from Movement and Nature to Culture, Mind, and Craft. An activity can explore one category or bring several together. These nine are our starting point for exploring how health takes shape in our lives, relationships, and communities.
Impact Order
Impact Order reflects how many people a health activity reaches: Personal, Group, or Community. But bigger isn’t always better. Every activity has the potential to create meaningful impact, regardless of its reach.
Health is meant to be experienced. Health Cards turn our philosophy into action, connecting Health Categories and Impact Order to gatherings, challenges, and activities you can experience. Find something that speaks to you. Join the action. Have a blast.
